The course was very interesting, and the learning materials made the hands on approach very tactile I really enjoyed the participation which normally I would not enjoy at all.

I absolutely enjoyed every part of this training day, it was interesting, informative and has enhanced my knowledge of how people can live well with dementia and I understand how best I can communicate with the individual using these new techniques this will support them much better when I am doing my assessments. Looking forward to the next time Chris thanks.

Chris was a fantastic trainer, knowledgeable, inspirational and energetic kept us all engaged throughout the day, best dementia training I have had in ten years of working. I would recommend this day for anyone involved with looking after and supporting people with dementia. I would just like to say thank you so much.

As a residential care home looking after residents with dementia one of our aims is to ensure we have a highly trained team of staff supporting the residents. I was looking for training which would really help the staff understand in more detail different types of dementia and give them practical tools and skills they could use in their day to day role. Chris and Forget Me Not Dementia Training came highly recommended to me and after an initial chat with Chris I immediately knew this was the training I had been looking for.

Chris ran two full day workshops to all our staff including Care Assistant, Domestic, Laundry and Kitchen Staff. She also ran a separate session for family members. The training was well worth the investment in terms of time and cost.  Staff came away which a much more in depth understanding, why residents may behave in certain ways and ideas and methods on how best to support each resident. Training covered how to make mealtimes a better experience, doll therapy, practical skills such as “hand on hand” and so much more! Chris spent time looking around our home and made recommendations on inexpensive aids we could purchase to help residents. The feedback from all staff was amazing, with staff members saying it was the best dementia training they have received. Moral and motivation also increased and staff came away feeling more empowered.

We also received wonderful feedback from the friends and family session.  Families had an opportunity to ask Chris specific questions about dementia and how it was affecting their loved one and again this was really useful.

Having experienced dementia training delivered by other providers, in my view Chris’s training is exceptional. I would highly recommend Chris and Forget Me Not Dementia Training.
