“Chris ran two full day workshops to all our staff including Care Assistant, Domestic, Laundry and Kitchen Staff. She also ran a separate session for family members. The training was well worth the investment in terms of time and cost. Staff came away which a much more in depth understanding, why residents may behave in certain ways and ideas and methods on how best to support each resident. Training covered how to make mealtimes a better experience, doll therapy, practical skills such as “hand on hand” and so much more! Chris spent time looking around our home and made recommendations on inexpensive aids we could purchase to help residents. The feedback from all staff was amazing, with staff members saying it was the best dementia training they have received. Moral and motivation also increased and staff came away feeling more empowered.”
This is then used to improve course materials if required and provides some assurance to new clients on the quality of the training.
